Hi, I’m Katherine (Kat) Le Fevre!

I’m a New York–based musical theatre performer, voice teacher, and Actors’ Equity Association member, currently pursuing my Master’s in Vocal Performance at NYU Steinhardt with an Advanced Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy.

I’ve performed internationally with The Walt Disney Company and worked in Shanghai as a speech and drama educator for early childhood students, as well as a musical theatre English diction coach and assistant director for summer intensives. My work extends beyond the stage into live band performances and voiceover, shaping me into a dynamic, versatile artist.

My Approach

I specialize in helping singers unlock a voice that is not only technically strong, but deeply authentic. My teaching blends vocal science, storytelling, and full-body awareness—because your voice isn’t just something you use, it’s something you are.

Whether you’re preparing for auditions, building confidence, or refining your sound, I create a space that is focused, empowering, and artist-driven.

My Advice for Students

Your voice is personal. It’s not about sounding like someone else—it’s about understanding how you sound at your best.

Be patient with yourself, especially on the days things feel off. Progress in singing isn’t always linear, and that’s okay. Stay curious, listen to your body, and don’t be afraid to take risks. The more honest you are in your work, the more your voice will open up.

My Favorite Local Places

I’m drawn to calm, grounding spaces like parks, quiet coffee corners of the city, or even churches. If it’s accessible, I love taking walks in the woods.

Three Tips for Success

  • Consistency over perfection — small, regular work always wins.
  • Don’t force the voice — if something feels wrong, it probably is. Remember, the voice is a muscle!
  • Stay connected to the story — technique means nothing without intention.
